Chief of Waccamaw Siouan Tribe
Chief Michael Jacobs is the second oldest son of the late Martin Eddie Jacobs Sr. and Magdline Baldwin Jacobs, both of them Waccamaw Siouan, born and raised in the Buckhead community. Chief Jacobs has served on the Waccamaw Siouan Tribal Council, holding the position of Tribal Co-Chair and Chairman. He currently holds the position of Tribal Chief, of the Waccamaw Siouan Tribe, as well as one of our two representatives, for the North Carolina Commission of Indian Affairs. Pastor Jacobs is owner, CEO and President of Eddie’s Truck Leasing Inc., which was founded by his mother and father and has won the “Economic Advancement of Native American People” award, from the United Tribes of North Carolina.
