Sabrina Slade, MBA
Vice President of the John Rex Endowment
Sabrina brings nearly 30 years of dedication and experience to her work in nonprofit management and philanthropy. Throughout her career in North Carolina, she’s had the privilege of working with amazing organizations like Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Durham and Orange Counties (now Triangle BBBS), The United Way of Forsyth County, YWCA of Winston-Salem, and The Winston-Salem Foundation.
Since April 2019, Sabrina has been part of the team at John Rex Endowment in Raleigh, where she now serves as Vice President. What drives her work? A deep belief that the people closest to the challenges are the real experts — they know what their communities need to truly thrive, not just get by.
Sabrina spent six years on the board of directors for the NC Center for Nonprofits, recently wrapping up her service as Vice Chair. A Winston-Salem native through and through, she holds a BA in Industrial Psychology, an MBA, and is a Certified Systems Thinking Associate. When she’s not working, you’ll find her enjoying time with family and friends, exploring new places around the world, getting her hands dirty in the garden, or cheering on track and field athletes and college basketball teams.
